When I first met Savannah and David all those months ago, I was immediately struck by a few things. First, I was both confused and intrigued by Savannah’s interest in cows (she likes them quite a bite). Second, I was overwhelmingly impressed by the way these two spoke to each other. Full of grace, I spent an hour talking with a couple that, although extremely goofy, exuded peace when it came to each other.
All our photography experiences together were no different. Soon after hiring me, Savannah and David decided to head down to my family’s farm to do their engagement session. Initially, this seemed to all parties to be a fantastic idea! It’s a gorgeous property with beautiful sunsets, an incredible tree-lined driveway, and per Savannah’s obsession, cows! However, as chance would have it, the humidity that day ended up being somewhere around 90%! Despite this though, these two remained patient with each other (and me) throughout the whole experience.
Then came the wedding day at the Roundhouse in Huntsville, AL. Around their possie, Savannah and David’s goofiness turned a cloudy winter day into an extremely enjoyable afternoon. And, to top the whole experience off, Savannah and David even had eggnog there for me. =)
The love of a father.
I’m still not sure what Savannah wrote in that book, but whatever it was, David was captured by her words.
When you’ve got a ten foot ladder, you might as well make the most of it!
