There’s something so sweet about being there for the weddings of friends. Monica and I met back in high where we took part in our high school’s drumline. So, when she reached out about her needing a photographer, I was ecstatic! After all, I was pumped to meet the guy who got as pleasantly wonderful a woman as Monica, and CJ did not disappoint in the slightest. Just like Monica, he is a considerate, loving man who I have no doubt will love Monica to the very end of their lives.
In terms of the day itself, the whole event went by without a hitch, featuring a crawfish broil and a wonderful collection of classy swing dance tunes. In fact, one of my favorite moments of the day was at the first dances. While at most weddings this portion is carried out with a great deal of swaying, I was incredibly impressed by the energy and skill that all the “first dances” brought to the dance floor. Even Monica’s father, a man who actually coached my soccer team back in high school, brought a great amount of finesse to the moment. And to top it off, I would do an injustice if I didn’t mention the incredible banana pudding served. Between my assistant Mattea and me, we probably finished off a solid fifth of what they had for the entire event.
All in all, it was a very relaxed but magnificently planned event celebrating the union of two truly compatible individuals. So cheers to you Monica and CJ! May your home be ever filled with laughter, and your closets ever devoid of dresses. Cheers.
There it is in all it’s glory. So good!
It all ended with a wonderful bubble exit!
