It’s hard to believe that I have known Lilia for over three years, and Mike for over two. I met them both while working at summer camp. In fact, I was around when their romance began. Many a day Mike could be seen out by the pool, sitting with Lilia talking about… well… honestly I’m not sure! But whatever moves Mike was pulling out seemed to work as this new friendship quickly blossomed and then bloomed into a love worth emulating. A great mixture of patience and vibrant energy, when you’re around Lilia and Mike, you can tangibly feel the love they share. To put it plainly, I am very proud of these two and the journey that has brought them to marriage.
As for the wedding day itself, it went just about perfectly. Although some rain threatened to cause some issues, it cleared up just when needed, leaving behind a gorgeous rainbow that stretched all the way across the ceremony site. Lilia and Mike’s wedding was a day filled with laughter, joyful tears, tight hugs, and some good ol’ fasion cake being smashed in each other’s faces. And to top it off, the hors d’oeuvre spread at the reception was unbelievably magnificent!
Lilia. Mike. Thanks for letting me be there. Although you two don’t work at camp anymore, I am excited for the times when I’ll get to see you two again. You’re a wonderful pair that I look forward to seeing around!
