When I first met with Isabella and Andrew, I was outright amazed by the depth they share. As is my custom, one of the first questions I asked them was to describe a “flavor” they would use to describe their relationship. After pondering for a few moments, with full confidence, Andrew answered with one of the most profound responses I’ve gotten to date: salt. At first this is a very intriguing response. After all, most couples go with something sweet or savory. But salt? As with everything else, Andrew wasn’t looking at the superficial. Salt is something you use to preserve what you want to last for a very long time. It makes things better. Whether that be to add the subtlest of flavor to a bowl of noodles, or to purify a wound, salt’s job is to come in at the right dosage and improve whatever it touches. Isabella and Andrew view their relationship as salt to this world. According to them, their very lives exist to embetter the souls they will meet along their journey.
I can truly say that every moment out in those woods was an absolute pleasure. Despite an engulfing heat, and humidity so high it took real willpower just to leave my car, they managed to fill our hour and and half with unceasing patience. They really are the embodiment of what a great couple could be. Not perfect. But absolutely headed in the right direction.
And to top it all of, we enjoyed a healthy round of Chick-Fil-A to finish the day off strong. A wonderful day from beginning to end.
Isabella. Andrew. Thank you for letting me be a part of your journey. You already make this world so much better.
